Programming

Depending on how your brain works, programming can be the best thing or the worst.

As a designer, programming can be very difficult. As a game designer, it is important to learn at least in part so you can create a prototype or the game itself.

That said programming is simply a language to tell a computer what to do. And with advances in AI, it is nearly at the point where you can use AI to translate your ideas to something the computer can do...nearly.

At the moment, vibe coding is a thing but you still need to understand the fundamentals as the tools will get you some of the way to the goal, but you'll need to tweak or adjust some of the resulting code. Ideally getting an actual coder on the team is the best way to do it, but as a solo developer (that is more a designer than a coder) this can be a little tricky.

The following tutorials are for those coming to programming from more of a designer background.
